Shamika Anderson, MBA, CSSBB, is a proud Indianapolis native whose journey is defined by resilience, determination, and service. She began her career in the telecommunications industry 18 years ago in Customer Service, steadily rising through the ranks into senior management roles. Her experiences in both corporate America and her upbringing have shaped her into a results-driven leader committed to excellence and empowerment.

As a management professional with extensive experience in telecommunications and security, Shamika has proven her ability to achieve consistent, measurable success. She has led over 1,500 subcontractors nationwide, driven $1.4B in quarterly revenue in 2018, and in 2019, successfully hired and developed a team of eight internal employees while creating a comprehensive Subcontractor Process Playbook—an operational framework that continues to drive efficiency and growth.

Her leadership philosophy is rooted in integrity, service, and strategy. She excels in developing clear objectives, leveraging resources effectively, and empowering teams to deliver outstanding results. Known for her adaptability and innovation, Shamika is recognized as a confident, driven leader who thrives under pressure, embraces change, and consistently turns challenges into opportunities.

Shamika holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision with a Minor in Business Administration from Purdue University, and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), applying proven methodologies to streamline processes and achieve operational excellence.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Shamika is deeply committed to service and community impact. She serves on the Teacher’s Treasures Board of Directors, Step-Up Indy, and the IU Alumni Association, with a mission to close educational and financial gaps in the Indianapolis community. For ten years, she also chaired the Miss Indianapolis Black Expo Scholarship Pageant, leading the Young Women Empowerment Series (Y.W.E.S.), which equips young women of color with skills, mentorship, and opportunities for higher education and professional growth.

Raised in low-income housing on the east side of Indianapolis, higher education was not a topic in her household. Yet through determination and resilience, Shamika defied the odds—becoming a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and technology industry professional.

Her achievements have earned her recognition as a 2024 Indiana Business Journal 40 Under Forty honoree and the 2024 Rising Star Award from the Neal Marshall Alumni Association.
